In the fields of Crateca, following the changing of the seasons, you can admire a triumph of vegetables to be harvested with full force: potatoes, courgettes, salads, onions, garlic, spices, peppers, aubergines, different varieties of tomatoes. There are no secrets to reveal, but emotions to share.
Fig, lemon and orange trees dot the farm’s plateaus, with other fruit trees, plums, apples, apricots; and a modern vineyard. The grapes typical of the island of Ischia and Campania are grown in a fascinating and uncontaminated environment: between the mountains and the sea, the view stretches over the Gulf of Naples and Vesuvius, as far as Circeo and the Pontine Islands. Two wines are produced from the blends of Biancolella, Forastera, Piedirosso and Guarnaccia; Greco, Fiano and Aglianico: Crateca Bianco and Crateca Rosso.
In autumn, during the grape harvest, you can participate in a joyful experience in the company of the Castagna family, picking grapes all together.
